Thad Edwin Brumfield, 87, of Columbia, died Nov. 24, 2022, at the Asbury Hospice House in Hattiesburg. He was born Nov. 1, 1935 in Tylertown.
Funeral services were Nov. 28, 2022, at Mesa Baptist Church in Tylertown, burial at Woodlawn Cemetery, Rev. Clay Spinks officiating.
Brumfield was a member of Mesa Baptist Church where he served as a deacon and sang in the choir. He enjoyed gardening, woodworking and cooking.
He was preceded in death by his wife Lyndell Ann Sullivan Brumfield; father Seth Brumfield; and mother Hilda Powe Brumfield; and brother C N Brumfield.
Survivors include his son Lank Brumfield; daughters Anita Lawrence (David), Laurie Dryer and Jane Rouse; grandchildren Michael Brumfield and Melissa Hughes; great grandchildren J. J. Brumfield and Tatum Brumfield; brother Dale Brumfield; and sister Vivian Rosetti.
