Bishop Charles U. Brumfield Jr., 63, of Jayess, died Nov. 18, 2022, in Jackson. He was born July 20, 1959, in New Orleans, LA to the late Charles Brumfield, Sr. and Emargie Coleman Brumfield.
After high school graduation, he pursued his degree and attended a theological seminary. He then moved to Mississippi. While preaching a revival, he met his wife, Diana Brumfield. The two were married Oct. 11, 1980. Together they founded Fresh Anointing Ministries.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Debra Carr; one brother, Leonard Brumfield Sr.; mother-in-law, Ethelene Harris; father-in-law, Prentiss Harris Sr.;
Survivors are his wife, Diana Brumfield; five children, Katrina (Walter) Husband, Snellville, GA, Anthony (Kimberly) Green, Natchez, Charmaine Dixon, Jayess, Vanda Brumfield, Clinton, Charles Brumfield III, Jayess; nine grandchildren, Jemarion McElveen, Latavious Harris, Tyler Harris, Jayla Harris, Madison Husband, Catelyn Dixon, Kinnadi Woods, Calee Brumfield and Chloe House; one great granddaughter, Zoie Harrisone; sister, Shannon (Rodney) Snellville, GA; brother, Wayne Brumfield, New Orleans; God daughter, Crystal Williams.
Funeral services were Nov. 25, 2022, at Fresh Anointing Ministries in Columbia, Bishop Eric McDaniels officiating.
