Larry Dillon, 77 of Tylertown, died Dec. 8, 2022, at his residence in Tylertown. He was born Dec. 31, 1950, in Tylertown to the late Leroy and Eunice Dillon.
He enjoyed singing traditional gospel/quartet music and was a member of longtime favorite group (The Mississippi Male Chorus).
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Kelly A. Dillon; three sisters, Nelly J. Dillon-Young, Marudean Dillon-Smith, and Peggy E. Dillon-Jackson.
Survivors are his wife of 20 years Janie Mae Dillon; four stepsons: William R. Holmes of Dallas, TX, James E. Boykin of Tylertown, Bobby E. Holmes, John E. (Janette) Holmes, both of Hattiesburg; one stepdaughter: Thelma H. (Kevin) Henry of Hattiesburg; four brothers, Anthony (Debra Jean) Dillon of California, Bobby (Kathy) Dillon of California, Donald Dillon of California, Andre Dillon of Tylertown, and Perry Dillon Sr. of Louisiana; three sisters, Betty Davis of Tylertown, Abbgale Dillon of California, and Chandra Dillon (LaPatrick) Bridges of California; two brothers-in-law, Billy J Smith and Walter Jackson; two sisters-in-law, Willie Mae (Kenneth( Lee and Mae Helen (Percy) Matheney; three aunts, Gloria Butler, Thelma (Andre) Boden and Oralee Smith.
Funeral services were Dec. 16, 2022, at Greater Powerhouse Pentecostal Church, pastor Anthony Dillon officiating, with interment in the Thomas & Lampton Cemetery in Tylertown.
