Fundraisers underway for ‘Bush Hogg’ Thomas
Several fundraisers have been established to benefit a well-known county resident being treated for cancer, Keith “Bush Hogg” Thomas.
Bacot Farms and Walthall County Cooperative have raffle tickets on sale at one for $10 or three for $25 with 100% of the funds raised going to Thomas. Tickets are available at the three businesses or you can purchase online using PayPal at: loribacot@aol.com.
Walthall Co-Op has donated a half freezer calf, and Bacot Farms has donated a half freezer calf, while Fortenberry Meat Processing is donating the processing costs for the calves.
Drawing is to be held May 15.
Tylertown Lodge No 392 is also selling tickets to help with Thomas’ medical expenses. Prizes include a $1000 cash prize donated by Coastal Tie & Timber; an Echo cordless string trimmer from Graves Cycle and four $50 gas cards from Market Max.
Tickets are $5 each, available from Graves Cycle or Rawls Jewelry. The drawing is being held Monday, May 15. 100% of proceeds go to Thomas.
