Ira Nelson Ratliff, 82, died April 18, 2023, at his residence in Jayess. He was born June 5, 1940, in Walthall County and was a member of Pleasant Hill Apostolic Church in Foxworth.
He worked with Brown’s Velvet Dairy Ice Cream in Natchez and McComb as a route salesman and driver and retired after 30 years of employment.
Ratliff was preceded in death by his parents, Marshall Ira Ratliff and Quida Mae Terrell Ratliff; sister, Melanie Ratliff Harvey; brothers, Wilson Ratliff, L.D. Ratliff, Jerry Ratliff, and Junior Lewis Ratliff; the mother of his children, Judy Ann Hano;
Survivors are his daughter, Kimberly Rink (Reggie) of Jayess; sons, Timothy Ratliff, and Brian Ratliff, both of Natchez; a sister, Peggy Peavy of Arkansas; brother, Barry Terrell of Ridgeland; grandchildren, Tiffanie Burchfield (Vincent), Ryan Minton, Marshall Robertson, Kirsten Rink, and Bransyn Rink; and great-grandchildren, Piper Burchfield, Ryker O’Brien, and Kase O’Brien.
Funeral services were April 22, 2023, at Pleasant Hill Apostolic Church in Foxworth, Rev. Carroll Gatlin officiating, burial at Pleasant Hill Apostolic Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Vincent Burchfield, Cody Reid, Caden Reid, Cory Reid, Braxton Bolin, and Reviea Waller. Honorary pallbearer, Thomas Rodriguez.
