Frederick Brown, 49, of Fort Worth, TX, and a native of Walthall County, died April 12, 2023, in Fort Worth, TX. He was born Dec. 23, 1973, in Walthall County to Glenda Bullock and Johnny Magee.
He became a member of Dexter Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church in Tylertown at a young age.
He graduated from Tylertown High School and joined the U.S. Army not long afterward. He was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon, Marksman Marksmanship Badges for pistol and grenade. He received an honorable discharge in May of 1998.
He was married to Melanie Blasa Feb. 14, 2003.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Dennis Magee; maternal grandparents, Jessie Lee Brown, Irvin Otha Magee Jr.; paternal grandparents, Johnny Will and Bessie Ella Magee.
Survivors are his wife, Melanie Brown of Fort Worth, TX; Anthony Brown, Aniyah Brown, both of Fort Worth, TX; Alexis Brown of Langen, Germany; mother, Glenda Bullock; father, Johnny (Emma) Magee of Tylertown; five sisters, Kimala Brown of Hattiesburg, Nicole Magee of Madison, Stephanie (Travis) Breaux of McComb, Latoya Pittman of Sumrall, and Shaneka (Derwin) Banks; six brothers, Christopher (Kecia) Brown of Sumrall, Tyrone (Brittany) Harvey of Mobile, AL, Derek Pittman, Tony (Vendora) Harvey, Shawn (Sonya) Magee and Adrelle (Tamica) Magee, all of Tylertown.
Funeral services were April 22, 2023, at East Mt. Olive MBC (Dexter Mt. Olive) in Tylertown.
