Irma J.. Badon, 67, of Magnolia, died May 5, 2023 in Magnolia, after a brief illness. She was the daughter of the late O. C. Peters and Olivia Badon born July 1, 1955, in New Orleans.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joel “Pete” Badon; three sisters, Emma Bridges, Alma Peters and Lilean Carr; three brothers, O.C. Peters Jr., Thomas Peters and Billy Peters; one grandson, LaJulius Peters; one great grandson, Messiyah Smith; father-in-law, J.L. Badon Sr.
Survivors are four daughters, Cassandra Peters of Magnolia, Celine (Hilton) Smith of Summit, Felicia (Alvin) Elliby of Tylertown, Greatta (Anthony) Hodges of McComb; 10 grandchildren, Regina (Brandon) Medious, Shakais Smith, Deundra Smith, Nisheka Williams, Vernisha (Darnell) Amos, Myesha (Corey) Cowart, Breonna Williams, Nicholas (Ariel) Smith, Demonte Williams and Hilton (Kenya) Smith; two sisters, Betty Craft and Carrie Peters, both of Tylertown; mother-in-law, Vernell (Larry) Thompson, sister-in-law/special friend, Rosa Badon; 25 great grandchildren.
Funeral services were May 20, 2023, at Craft-Dillon-Ginn Funeral Chapel, Tylertown, interment in New Bethel Church Cemetery, Tylertown.
