Lester ‘Dusty’ Williams, 61, of McComb, died at his residence on May 17, 2023. He was born on Nov. 16, 1961, in Tylertown, to the late Lethell and Elvalene (Magee) Williams.
After attending South Pike, he continue his education at Job Corps of America earning his GED and an Auto Mechanic Certification in 1979 in Cherokee, NC. He attended Coastal College in Hammond and earned a truck driving certification.
His career included Minneapolis / St. Paul International Airport, J.B. Hunt, H&M Auto Repairs, and B.C. Rogers Poultry Plant. He attended Sunday School at Oakdale House of Praise in Progress.
He enjoyed fishing, roller skating and horseback riding.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Marilyn A. Wells.
Survivors are his daughter, Destiny (Michael) Daniels; two grandchildren, Kia and Jayden Daniels; four sisters, Mable Hewitt of Jackson, Dr. Janice (Phillip) Porter, of Crandall, TX, Brenda Williams, of Progress, Servia (Alonzo) Fortenberry, of McComb; four brothers, Willie Williams (Willie Jean) of Benton Harbor, MI, Wallace Williams (Martha) of Decatur, GA, Marvin Williams (Nancy) of Biloxi, Alex Williams of Fort Worth, TX.
Funeral services were May 26, 2023, at Craft-Dillon-Ginn Memorial Chapel in Tylertown, Apostle Julius Williams officiating, interment in the Tylertown Cemetery.
