Brooke Rayanne Sartin McNeese died June 5, 2023. She was born Sept. 14, 1979, in McComb, the youngest of three children of Bill and Amy Sartin.
Brooke excelled at sports, especially softball. Playing in the local leagues, she was a 3rd baseman and a slugger. She earned MVP honors on her team. Her team from Walthall County won the State Babe Ruth title and advanced to the World Series finals in Wilmington, NC. Later, she enjoyed playing church league softball and tournaments. She enjoyed cooking.
She was a graduate of Dexter High School in 1997 and the University of Southern Mississippi in 2009. She was a teacher to many students throughout her eight years of service in the Walthall County School District as a third grade math instructor. Her most recently attained award, Teacher of the Month, honored her exemplary work within the classroom, and her impact and legacy will live on through all of her former students.
Mrs. McNeese was a member of Crystal Springs Baptist Church. As a young adult, she directed the first and only interpretive music youth drama team.
She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Jimmy and Ernestine Felder of McComb and John Ray and Elise Sartin of Dexter. She is survived by her husband, Adam, of Jayess; daughter, Kinley, of Jayess; parents, Bill and Amy Sartin of Dexter; brothers, Bill Sartin Jr. (Leigh Anne) of Hernando and Gareth Sartin (Jessica) of Bogue Chitto; sister-in-laws, Leann McNeese of Tylertown and Courtney Sistrunk of Sumrall; nieces and nephews, Madison Reaves (Austin) of Guntown, Morgan Sartin of Saltillo, Will Sartin of Hernando, Felder Sartin and Easton Sartin of Bogue Chitto, Lakin Graham, Evan Graham, Bryni Graham, and Tristan Graham all of Tylertown; great-nephews, Beau and Sam Reaves of Guntown.
Funeral services were June 8, 2023, at Crystal Springs Baptist Church, burial at Crystal Springs Cemetery.
