Larry L. Dillon, 73 of New Orleans, died June 4, 2023 in New Orleans. He was born July 4, 1949, in Tylertown to the late Oscar and Vonnie B Dillon. After the passing he was reared by his stepmother, Margie Lee Woods and Aunt Ardean Simmons.
Dillon received his education at J.J. Gulledge Memorial High School in Tylertown. He joined Mt. Salem Baptist Church in New Orleans.
He met and married Rosalee Howard and they had three children. Later in life, he married Barbara Daniels and accepted her children as his own.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his ex-wife, and sister, Lorene Dillon.
Survivors are his wife, Barbara Dillon; his son, Daron Dillon; two daughters, Letoria (Quinton Watson) Dillon, and Shelia (Joseph) Damond; three brothers, E.R. (Climmateon) Dillon, John Woods and Floyd Woods; four sisters, Emma Jean (L.C.) Wilson, Perry Woods, Rudy Woods and Lula Woods; a aunt, Climme Lee Higgins; five grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; two step children, Terrance Daniels and Steven (Maria) Daniels; a God-child, Gilda Bolds.
Funeral services were June 17, 2023, at Craft-Dillon-Ginn Memorial Chapel, interment in Tylertown Cemetery.
