Tony Nelson Thomas, 64, of Woodville, died July 6, 2023, at the University Medical Center in Jackson. He was born Oct. 8, 1958, in Tylertown.
Funeral services were July 10, 2023, at Carson Springs Baptist Church, burial in Carson Springs Cemetery, Bro. Archie Herrin and John Talley officiating.
Thomas worked in Walthall and Woodville as water system operator with the Mississippi Rural Water Assn. His favorite pastimes were fishing, spending time in the outdoors, and playing dominos at the Thomas Cash Store.
He was preceded in death by his father Clarence D Thomas; and mother Atha Lee Magee Thomas.
Survivors include his wife Maria Thomas; sons Zachary Thomas (Kristin) and Hayward Thomas (Rachael); daughters Jennifer Cheeks (Bobby), Kelly Houston (Jason), and Sandee Barnett; 11 grandchildren; brothers Mike Thomas (Peggy) and Barry Thomas (Sandy); sisters Judy Dunshee and Glenda Smith.
