Payton Elizabeth Strain died Aug. 20, 2023 at the age of 12. She was born on April 22, 2011, in Covington, LA, to James Anthony Strain Sr. and Katie Keffer Strain.
Payton was the sister of Marilyn Brown (Germaine), Jacob Strain, and James Anthony Strain, Jr. She was the granddaughter of Diana and Reed Alford, and Kay Strain and the late Oliver Strain. Payton was the aunt of Tristan and Xavier Brown. She was the niece of Isreal Strain (Rena) and Stacey Strain-Fahey (Michael).
Payton was a ball of energy and the life of every party. She loved barrel racing and especially her horse, Jack. She played softball and loved to swim. Payton loved music and dancing to Tik Toks. She was a big animal lover and never met a stranger.
The funeral mass was at St. Joseph Abbey, 75376 River Road, St. Benedict, LA, Aug. 25, 2023, interment at Pinecrest Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, Covington, LA.
