Glyn Parker Boyd, 77, of Tylertown, died Aug. 24, 2023, in New Orleans. He was born June 9, 1946, in Tylertown.
Funeral services were Sept. 5, 2023, fat Salem Baptist Church, burial in Boyd Cemetery, Bro. Mark Wicker officiating.
Boyd was a life long resident of Walthall County. He served as the county constable for one term and operated his family construction business for many years. He was married to the love of his life, Amanda, for 47 years. They enjoyed going out on the town and dancing.
He also cherished taking family fishing trips.
He was preceded in death by his father Alton Parker Boyd; mother Lexie Viola Martin Boyd; brothers Alton Buel Boyd, J.C. Boyd, Joe Henry Boyd, and Louis Edward Boyd; sisters-in-law Ann Boyd and Pearlene Boyd.
Survivors include his beloved wife Amanda Kay Ratcliff Boyd; sons Tony Glyn Boyd and Erik Parker Boyd; daughter Sheree Boyd Fontenot (Kenny); grandchildren Brandon Lee Boyd, Morgan Alford Meyers (Andrew), Madison Rochel Boyd Hill, Erika Kalyn Boyd, Gracie Kate Boyd and Parker Slade Boyd; great grandson Remington Wayne Boyd; sister-in-law Polly Boyd.
Honorary pallbearers were Vernon Alford, Billy Alford, Mark Boyd, Alex Boyd, John Michael Eaton, and Keith Boyd.
