Mary Rayburn McBeth, 91, died Sept. 1, 2023, at Billdora Nursing Home in Tylertown.
Mrs. McBeth was born in Bogalusa and lived there most of her life. She lived in Tylertown for many years where she was a member of Centerville Missionary Baptist Church in the Dexter community. After moving back to Bogalusa, she moved her membership to Westside Emmanual Baptist Church.
She worked for Ventilite of Bogalusa for over 40 years. Mrs. McBeth loved gospel music and enjoyed attending many gospel quartet concerts. She looked forward to holidays, birthdays, or any occasions that brought her family together. She loved taking her grandsons to Mardi Gras parades and attending their baseball games.
Mrs. McBeth was preceded in death by her husband, J.W. McBeth; her son, Charles Delbert McBeth; parents Antoinette Cooper Rayburn and Jeff Willard Rayburn; sisters, Wilda Fay Rayburn Jenkins and Margie Rayburn Mitchell; brothers, Roland “Sonny” Rayburn and J.W. “Bouk” Rayburn.
Survivors are her daughter-in-law, Donna Bowman McBeth; grandsons John McBeth (Angel), Josh McBeth, and Jeb McBeth (Emily); great grandsons, Kyler McBeth, Andrew McBeth, and Sutton McBeth.
Funeral services were Sept. 7, 2023, at Hartman Hughes Funeral Home, burial at Centerville Missionary Baptist Church, Rev. Marcus Rosa officiating.
Pallbearers were John McBeth, Josh McBeth, Jeb McBeth, Ryan Bruhl, Scott Ervin, and John Clayton. Honorary pallbearers were Jeff Rayburn, Bruce Stogner, Kerry Melear, Roger Dale Lowery, Justin Boyd, Daniel Keaton, and Skipper Keaton.
