Melissa “Lisa” Sloan Foil died Sept. 18, 2023, at her home in San Saba, Tex. She was born on Oct. 3, 1956, in San Saba, Tex., to Peter Claude Sloan and Johnnie Lou Ewing.
She is survived by her husband of 20 years, David Foil; her children, Benjamin (Jena) Rollins, Elizabeth (Cade) McBee, Andrew (Kelsey) Rollins, Chris Foil, Jill (Scott Weeks) Smith, and Kaylan (Christopher) Bracey; 11 grandchildren, Ruby and Emma McBee, Hayes and Laney Rollins, Myles and Chance Foil, Logan and Cayden Larrimore, Karson Smith, Cooper and Brooks Bracey; her mother, Johnnie Lou Ewing; sister, Cynthia Sloan; brother, Marcus (Shannon Hall) Sloan; sister, Jennifer Radford and husband James; aunt, Josephine Sloan; uncle, Sam (Ginger) Sloan; aunt, Mirabell (Jack) Roden; uncle, Thomas (Susan) Lanier.
She was preceded in death by her father, Peter Claude Sloan and her stepfather, JC Ewing, Jr.
The memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 7, 2023, at New Hope Presbyterian Church ECO Sloan Community.
