‘Pink Day’ observed in town Friday

The town’s observance of “Pink Day” to pay tribute to survivors and victims of breast cancer takes place Friday. Some businesses decorate in pink, others serve refreshments, such as pink lemonade, pink punch, cookies with pink icing, etc. in order to place an emphasis on breast cancer during the day. It’s held annually during October as part of Breast Cancer Awareness month.Traditionally, Tylertown’s post office sets up a pink display for the month.
