Gretta Denise Williams, 54, of San Antonio, TX, died Oct. 8, 2023, at University Hospital in San Antonio, TX. She was born Sept. 22, 1969, to Billy Joe Williams and the late Ruby Nell Williams.
She was born deaf, but she never allowed it to interfere with her daily life. She was an expert with sign language and lip reading.
She attended John F. Kennedy High School where she graduated from the school of deaf. She enjoyed traveling, being fashionable, experiencing different hair colors and styles.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Ruby Williams; son, Darius Robinson; grandparents, Burt and Willie Mae May and Irene and TC Gatlin.
Survivors are her sons, Guy and Christopher; father, Billy Joe Williams; sister, Ericka Cindy Williams; two grandchildren, Naomi Fuaua and Sincere Williams; two nephews, Keenen Williams and Noel Page Jr.
Funeral services were Oct. 21, 2023, at Washington Funeral Home, interment at Tylertown Cemetery #2, Rev. Brixie Gatlin officiating.
Pallbearers were Ja’Waylin Sibley, Ronnie Causey, Donald Gatlin, Marco Smith, Rashad Mack and Tevin Gatlin.
Honorary pallbearers were Guy Williams, Noel Page, Christopher Williams and Keenan Williams.
Washington Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
