Chiefs playoff hopes end with 40-6 defeat

Tylertown’s Chiefs lost Friday night at Bassfield to Jefferson Davis County High School to end their hopes of advancing in the state 3A playoffs this year.
Jeff Davis struck early with their running attack making ground gains over the Chiefs passing offense.
The Bassfield team did pass on occasion, but their running game was able to outdistance the Chiefs with ease.
The Chiefs lone score came on a Keonnis Davis to Tquan Ginn pass to put six on the board. The PAT was no good, and at the sound of the final horn the Jeff Davis Jaguars won 40-6 to advance to the second round of the playoff
