Tylertown native, Col. Bobby M. Ginn Jr. is the featured speaker at a Veterans Day observance Saturday, Nov. 11, at 10 a.m., at the
American Legion Post 56 hut,
The local Legion and Auxiliary have sponsored the observance annually for a number of years.
“We plan the ceremony so the firing of rifles by our color guard at the close of the ceremony coinsides with the 11 o’clock hour. Veterans Day or Armistice Day, as originally termed, coincides with the end of hostilities at the 11th hour of the 11th month,” Post Commander Harold D. Smith, said.
“We invite everyone to the ceremony and to stay and enjoy rereshments afterward,” he added.
