Operation Christmas Child collection center accepting shoe boxes

Tylertown Baptist Church is the local drop off point for shoeboxes being delivered to Operation Christmas Child, said Fred Johnson, who, along with his wife, Paulette, serve as local chairmen for the county collection center.
“The OCC collection week is Monday, Nov. 13 through Sunday, Nov. 19,” Johnson said.
The shoeboxes, packed into larger shipping cartons, will be delivered to the regional collection center, eventually ending up at an airport where they will find their way to their destinations.
The dates and pickup times are:
Monday, Nov. 13 8 a.m. – 10 a.m.
Tuesday, Nov. 14 4 p.m. – 6 p.m.
Wednesday, Nov. 15 2 p.m. – 5 p.m.
Thursday, Nov. 16 4 p.m. – 6 p.m.
Friday, Nov. 17 8 a.m.. – 10 a.m.
Saturday, Nov. 18 8 a.m. – 10 a.n.
Sunday, Nov. 19 1 p.m. – 3 p.m.
