Latarsi Hines, 48, of Hattiesburg, died Oct. 22, 2023, at Forrest General Hospital. She was born Nov. 17, 1974, to Naomi Smith (late Eld. Marcus Smith) and Jerry Magee in Magnolia.
After graduating from South Pike High School in 1993, she was employed at Kohler Engine in Hattiesburg.
She is preceded in death by her father, Eld. Marcus Smith; her grandfather, Export (Papa Duke) Hines; uncle, Willie B. Hines; aunt, Patty Lue (Tiny) Hines.
Survivors are her mother, Naomi Smith; her children, Tiaundra McElveen, Diaundra (Danny) Bolton, Malaysia Wilson; her grandmother, Rosa Lee Hines; her father, Jerry Magee; her sister, TraMeka (Shae) Dawson; her brother, Jeremy (Chubby) Dawson, Andre Dawson.
Funeral services were Nov. 4, 2023, at Washington Funeral Home, interment at the Hines Family Estate, pastor Roger Hines and pastor Danny Ray Bolton officiating.
Pallbearers were Danny R. Bolton, Andre Dawson, Carlos Hines, Tony Gray, Jeremy Dawson, Ladarius Malloy and Venzarell Hines.
Washington Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
