Jack Adam Bacot, 85, of Tylertown, died Nov. 17, 2023, in Tylertown. He was born Dec. 14, 1937, in Tylertown.
Funeral services were Nov. 20, 2023, at Enon Baptist Church, burial in Enon Cemetery, Bro. David Hedden and Bro. Jimmy Everett officiating.
Bacot had a master’s degree which he used to teach school and also coached basketball. He started his teaching career at Orange Grove in Gulfport and retired from a school in Varnado. He married the love of his life Aug. 9, 1964. He enjoyed watching sports and working with his cows or tending to his garden.
He was preceded in death by his son, Timothy Bacot; father, Hollis Bacot; mother, Ina Bearden Bacot; sister, Holine Jackson.
Survivors include his wife of 59 years Rita Sauicer Bacot; son Hollis Bacot (Rachel); grandchildren Adam Bacot, Tyler Bacot, Dalton Bacot and Katie Bacot; great grandchildren Braeden Bacot, Brooklyn Bacot, Maddie Bacot, Londyn Bacot, Ben Bacot, Jo Jo Bacot and Gracie Bacot; nieces Pam Meyers (Wayne) and Janet Everett (Jim).
Pallbearers were Terry Boyd, Jerry Boyd, Calvin McEwen, Braeden Bacot, Dalton Bacot, and Tyler Bacot.
Honorary pallbearers were Louis Boyd, Byron Bacot, Justin Hawn, Charlie Ard, Ronnie Campbell, Dale Wood, Larry E Saucier, Mike Saucier, Rusty Saucier, and Bob Callier.
Special music was performed by Bubba Meyers, Cory Everett, and Rachel Pinter .
