Judith “Judy” Beckner Glotfelty, of San Antonio, TX, was born July 30, 1947, in Tylertown, to Helen Simmons Beckner and Harold Duane Beckner, Sr. After a battle with pancreatic cancer, she died Oct. 30, 2024.
She was predeceased by her parents, Helen Simmons Beckner and Harold D. Beckner, Sr.; her sister, Lila Suzette Beckner Bettencourt; her brother, Harold D. Beckner, Jr. (Hal); her nephew, Harold D. Beckner, III (Buddy); and her husband, Lang Glotfelty.
Survivors are her son, Cole Humphreys, his wife, Beth, and their three children, Coleman (22), Emma (20), and Paige (16); her sister, Sandra Beckner of Boston, MA; her niece, Melanie Goins of Perkinston; and her brother-in-law, Al Bettencourt of San Antonio.
A memorial service will be held Dec. 7, 2024, at 10 AM in the Coker Methodist Chapel, located at 231 E North Loop Rd, San Antonio, TX 78216.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Judy’s memory to support pancreatic cancer research and patient services through Texas-based organizations. Contributions can be made to the MD Anderson Cancer Center at MD Anderson Pancreatic Cancer Research or to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network’s (PanCAN) San Antonio Affiliate at PanCAN San Antonio.
