Mrs. Walters was a working woman in her young life, she worked at a shipyard and as a dormitory mom among other things. Faye loved working at Southwest Community College and being able to curate a safe place for the young women pursuing education. She loved working in her flower garden. She collected many different types of day lilies. Her favorite thing was to watch them bloom and capture that beauty in a photograph. While Mrs. Walters spent most of her life in Mississippi, she lived in Orange Beach, AL for about 5 years which is where she gained a love of seashells. She loved waking up early to go hunt for shells on the beach. She made many crafts with her collection of shells. She also loved preserving the memories she made by scrapbooking. She had many hobbies but at the heart of them all was creating something, creating something to leave behind for her loved ones.
