John E. Thomas Jr., 66, of Morrow, GA, died Feb. 19, 2025, in Stockbridge, GA. He was born Oct. 1, 1958, in Louisiana to the late John Sr. and Christin Wright Thomas.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his in-laws, T.J. and Lula Octavia Holmes; and sister-in-law, Patricia Williams.
He was baptized at My Redeemer Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon. He sang in a local gospel group The King Spirituals. He was a 32 Degree Mason at the Nehemiah Lodge. He retired as a maintenance engineer.
Survivors are his wife, Caron Thomas; three children, Kendiler Keokia (Bruce) McMaster Jr., Elah Tann, and Elam Tann; two sisters: Felicia Ann Thomas, Rhonda T. Harris (Jace) Magnolia; sister/brothers-in-law, Debra Holmes, Dianne Jones, Shirley Anne cowart (Curtis), Tony Holmes (Latoya) all of Louisiana, LeKisha Holmes of McComb; five God-children, Sanddra, Sabrekia, Ericka, Rodney, Troylynn.
Funeral services were March 1, 2025, at Greater Powerhouse Church, pastor Keith Branch officiating, interment in Dillon Cemetery.
