Blondy Andrea Moses Moore, 68, of New Orleans, native of Tylertown, died April 21, 2025, at her residence in River Ridge, LA. She was born May 7, 1956, in Walthall County to the late Ella Lee Locke and Jewels Carney.
She went to Xavier University for pharmacy, was a chemist at Baumer Foods and Folgers Coffee, drove an RTA bus, was a beautician and sang in the choir at Mount Herman Baptist Church. She also started Helping Hands Ministry, feeding and cutting hair under the bridge for those in need.
In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her son, Jawara Givens, and her best friend Anna.
Survivors are her children, Lamont Perkins, Zena Moses, Brandon Morre, Kwesi Givens and Junice Moore; grandchildren, Lamont Perkins Jr., Semaj Moore, Bentrell Moore, Winter Perkins and Moses Albert; great grandchild, Nylah Carter.
Funeral services were May 3, 2025, at Craft-Ginn Funeral Chapel, Apostle Sherman Smith officiating, with interment in the Magee’s Creek Church cemetery.
