Henry Ashford Rhodus, 91, died June 5, 2025, at his residence. He was born Nov. 11, 1933, in Progress to the late Charlie and Ethel Rhodus. Along with his parents he is also preceded in death by his wife Genell Rushing Rhodus.
Funeral services were June 8, 2025, at Hartman-Hughes Funeral Home, burial in Boyd Cemetery, Bro. Mark Wicker officiating.
Rhodus enjoyed spending time with his family, working, keeping his yard up, riding on the 4 wheeler, fishing, and just about anything to do with being outside. When he was younger he enjoyed bowling and hunting. He was a member of Salem Baptist church and was a proud member of the Navy.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Ann Cutrer; sons, Jeffery Rhodus (Glenda), Jerry Rhodus (Belinda) and Wade Rhodus; daughter, Wanda Rhodus (Harold Perret); brother, Lloyd Rhodus (Penny); sisters, Peggy Varnado and Alene Delatte.
Pallbearers were Jonathan Rhodus, Loyd Rhodus, Tommy Rhodus, Chris Waller, Jerry Rhodus Jr., and Royal Rhodus.
Special music was performed by Bro. Richie Fortenberry.
Capps Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
