Walthall County GOP will meet on June 18

By Martha Sumrall
The Walthall GOP is excited to announce the speakers for the June 18th meeting at Southwest Events Center: Tony Stringer, President and Chief Executive Officer of Stringer Industries, and Phillip Gunn, former Speaker of the House and current candidate for Governor of Mississippi.
Stringer Industries was founded in 1964 by Mr. Stringer’s parents. Stringer Industries has remained a family business, and they treat both their employees and customers as part of their family. Over the last 60 years, they have built their success on the core values of faith, family, and trust.
Mr. Stringer stated that he is grateful for the privilege of working with dedicated and talented individuals, many of whom have been with them for over 20 years. He further stated that the team’s commitment to excellence has been key to their success.
Stringer Industries proudly manufactures high-quality wastewood equipment, primarily for sawmills, and they are committed to supporting multiple industries with innovative solutions.
Phillip Gunn was raised in humble beginnings. Mr. Gunn’s life has been guided by faith, family, and community. Mr. Gunn rose to become Mississippi’s first Republican Speaker of the House in nearly 140 years. Under his leadership, schools went from last to 16th in the nation, the unborn were protected, taxes were lowered, and economic prosperity began to return to the state. His new focus is on running for Governor of this great state. Gunn is armed with a vision to make Mississippi the envy of the nation. As Governor, he will work to completely eliminate the income and food taxes, expand the homestead exemption, build upon the Mississippi Education Miracle, and continue to cultivate a culture of life starting at conception.
Please join us to hear these two outstanding speakers on Thursday, June 18, at Southwest Events Center. You do not need to be a member to attend meetings.
Refreshments began at 5:30 p.m. with the meeting starting at 6 p.m. Please mark this important date on your calendar and bring friends.
