Nothing stops the Dairy Festival

Nothing stops the Dairy Festival
Despite a few showers around the noon hour, most spectators stuck around all day, enjoying all the events of the festival, then returned for the traditional Citizens Bank-sponsored fireworks show at 9 p.m.
Baby contests, a talent show, ice cream eating, watermelon eating, sack races, a pedal tractor race, and plenty more kept everyone well-occupied throughout the day.
Local entertainers filled the gaps on stage, and politicians showed up to meet folks prior to the November general election.
Crafters reported a good sales day for their wares, and everyone was satisfied with the assorted food fare available at the festival.
Farm Bureau’s petting farm, the “Cow-bag Nationals,” an open car show, and more, combined with turtle races, make the 49th Dairy Festival a success.
Dairy Fest photos accompany today’s paper, with more to be published during the remainder of June Dairy Month.
