Drug arrests send seven to jail
Two were jailed shortly after midnight Saturday after they were arrested by the Mississippi Highway Patrol.
State Trooper Josh Huhn charged Joshua Slade Miller, 27, 2003 Holding Road, McComb, and Chasity Chain Forbes, 25, 195 Tom Wood Road, with felony possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Miller was also charged with driving under the influence, child endangerment and driving with a suspended license.
A number of other drug-related arrests were made by authorities.
Michael T. Wallace, 40, 167 Barnes King Rd., Monticello, was arrested last Friday, charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of paraphernalia, no driver’s license and no proof of liability insurance.
Quincey Morris, 49, 1276 Hwy. 13 South, Columbia, was arrested for possession of synthetic marijuana, possession of a controlled substance, speeding, no tag and no proof of liability insurance.
Dustin Bryan Hill, 39, 443 Brockdale Road, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance.
James W. McLain-Pender, 23, 122 Twin Bridges Road, was arrested for possession of paraphernalia, possession of marijuana and no proof of liability insurance.’
Ryan Brown, 36, 60 Doc Magee Road, was charged with possession of a controlled substance.
