Pay taxes, tags online

Land taxes, mobile home taxes, auto tags and other payments to the county tax assessor/collector can now be made online.
While there is a small fee for use of a debit or credit card online, many find the fee is outweighed by the convenience and time saved by paying online. A $1 fee is charged for bills up to $40. For bills over $40 there is a 3% convenience fee.
To use the service, go to the Walthall County website at: www.co.walthall.ms.us.
The Walthall County home page comes up with several options. At the top left of the home page there is a green box labeled “Now taking online payments.” Click on the box and it brings up the Tax Assessor/Collector page. It brings up a list of taxes. Simply click on the tax you wish to pay and follow the online instructions.
