Funeral services for Wilda Irene Grimsley, 89, of Utica, were Nov. 27, 2020, at Hartman-Hughes Funeral Home with Rev. Archie Herrin and Rev. Carl Dickens officiating, burial in the Carson Springs Cemetery.
Mrs. Grimsley died at her residence Nov. 23, 2020. She was born Sept. 6, 1931, in Pike County to the late Eva and Harvey Deer. Along with her parents she is also preceded in death by her six siblings.
She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Vicksburg and a former member of Carson Springs Baptist Church. She was very supportive of her husband as he served as minister of music for various churches through the years. She enjoyed gardening and flowers.
Survivors include her husband of 69 years David Grimsley; daughters Pamela (Howard) Jennings and Kathy Grafton; grandchildren Brian Grafton, Jennifer (Justen) Rouse, Andrea (Trey) Strickland, and Curt (Jessica) Jennings; great-grandchildren Jacob Rouse, Jacie Rouse, and Calhan Strickland.
Pallbearers were Brian Grafton, Curt Jennings, Garath Fortenberry, Jacob Rouse, Justen Rouse, and Trey Strickland
