Funeral services for Aulton “Mutt” Ard, 88, of Tylertown, were at Calvary Baptist Church Jan. 22, 2021, with Rev. Landon Lambert, Rev. Doug Lee, and Rev. Keith Smith officiating, interment at New Zion Cemetery.
Ard died at his residence Jan. 19, 2021. He was born Sept. 2, 1932, in Walthall County to the late Effie and Willie Ard. He is also preceded in death by nine brothers and three sisters.
Ard was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. He enjoyed basketball, baseball, golf, and just about any other sport there is. He enjoyed being around family and friends and one of his favorite past times was working with his tractor.
Survivors include his wife Elizabeth Ard; son David Ard and two daughters; grandsons who were raised up like his sons Robert (Jessica) Ard and Allen (Kayla) Ard along 12 other grandchilren; 34 great grandchildren; 17 great great grandchildren; brothers Claude Ard and Donald Ard; sister Carolyn Price.
Pallbearers were Ricky Waldrop, Wayne Parish, Jerry Pace, Matthew Ard, Keith Ard, and Steven Price.
