Mylinda E. Caston, 48, of Tylertown, died July 14, 2021, at Merit Health Central Hospital in Jackson.
Born Aug. 24, 1972, in McComb, she was the daughter of the late Lethel Ellzey, Sr. and Mary Lee Varnado Ellzey. She was married to Robert Lewis Caston.
After graduating from Tylertown High School, she worked as a cashier and a caregiver. She attended St. Chapel Missionary Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her father, Leathell Ellzey, and one brother, Michael Ellzey.
Survivors are her husband, Robert Caston; one child, Jarvis Devonta Ellzey; her mother, Mary Ellzey of Tylertown; five brothers, Lee Varnado, Jacob Ellzey, both of Tylertown, Leathell Ellzey (Angela) of Fort Wort, TX, Leander Ellzey (Linda), Keith Ellzey (Sandra) and Keven Ellzey (Kathisa), all of McComb; five sisters, Evelyn Hackette, Annie Varnado, Mamie Hines (Roger), all of Magnolia, Marilyn August (Jerome) and Denise Ellzey, both of Independence, LA; a special nephew, Da’Quarious Ellzey; two special nieces, I’lea Hart and Justice Ellzey.
A funeral service was July 24, 2021, at St. Chapel MBC, with Rev. Dr. Douglas Hart rendering the eulogy and officiating, interment in the St. Chapel Cemetery in Tylertown.
Pallbearers were Kendall Milton, Micah Ellzey, Jacob Ellzey, Da’Quarious Ellzey, Keveyonta Ellzey and Dequarius Ellzey.
Honorary pallbearers were Lee Edward Varnado, Leathell Ellzey Jr., Leander Ellzey, Jarvis Ellzey, Keven Ellzey and Keith Ellzey.
Washington Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
