Gloria Jean Lampton, 79, of Houston, TX, native of Tylertown, died Aug. 25, 2021. Ms. Lampton was born July 23, 1942, in Walthall County.
In her youth she was a member of Mesa Mt. Olive Baptist Church. Later on in life, she attended The Greater Fairview Baptist Church until she moved to Houston, TX, in 2000.
She graduated from J.J. Gulledge Memorial High School, Class of 1961. She worked in the Tylertown School System for a few months. She lived most of her life in Tylertown and was known for providing care to other family members.
A funeral service was Sept. 11, 2021 in Craft-Ginn Funeral Chapel in Tylertown, interment in Tylertown City Cemetery, with Rev. Lanny Williams officiating the service.
