Chiefs regular season ends 10-0; first playoff Friday

The Tylertown Chiefs ended the regular season with a perfect 10-0 record last week in a Thursday night game at Port Gibson.
The Chiefs will head to the first round of the 3A playoffs Friday night at home against Wesson.
The first game in the series that ends with the 3A state championship game Memorial Stadium in Jackson pits the Region 7-3A first place team against the Region 6-3A fourth place team, Wesson.
The first game is played on home turf for the Chiefs. If they win, Tylertown will be on the road the following week.
Chiefs’ athletic director Jason Johnson reminds fans that the Mississippi High School Activities Assn. does not allow cash ticket sales at playoff games.
Chiefs’ fans will need to download the GoFan App and follow the instructions.
In addition to tickets not being sold at the gate, no student below 10th grade will be allowed to enter the event unless they are accompanied by their guardian, and they must sit with the guardian.
