Wildcats suffer 64-8 loss to Bay Springs last Thursday
A strong Bay Springs team proved their ranking last Thursday, defeating Salem’s Wildcats 64-8 before a home crowd at the Swamp.
Bay Springs built up a 54-0 lead at halftime.
In the second half, Salem held the Bulldogs to 8 points, scored in the third quarter.
The ‘Cats kept fighting back, and avoided a shutout with a Chris Riley touchdown at game’s end. Salem’s two-point conversion was good as Salem got 8 on the board to end the game.
The Wildcats are 0-9 overall, 0-5 in District 1A Region 4.
The Wildcats have two more games this season, a Friday night contest played at Lumberton and a Thursday, Nov. 3, home game with Richton.
