Jessie Mae Broussard, 82, of Fort Worth, TX, a native of Tylertown, died May 11, 2023, in Fort Worth, TX. She was born May 20, 1940, in Tylertown to Simon and Dessie M Jackson Causey.
She was married to Oliver Broussard in New Orleans and had one son. He moved to Magnolia in 2005 and attended Darbun Community Worship Center. She loved to cook, feed the community and other services through her church. She worked at Croft.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Oliver Broussard; son, Willie Causey; two sisters, Ruth Ellzey and Betty Hll; one brother, Carrel Causey.
Survivors are two grandsons: Willie A Batiste of Houston, TX, and Patrick Holmes of Baton Rouge; five grandaughters, Chaka Tillman of Baton Rouge, LA, Brandy (Terrence) Williams and Stephanie Causey of Fort Worth TX, Jessica Handy of New Orleans, Iriel Batiste of Lafayette; one daughter, Belinda (David) Bunch of Atlanta, GA; 10 great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; two special sons, Calvin James and Steve Satterfield; two special friends, Dorothy Johnson and Ruthie James.
Funeral services were May 21, 2023, at Darbun Community Worship Center in Kokomo, pastor Kevin Montgomery officiating, interment in Darbun Community Worship Center Church Cemetery.
