A graveside service was June 9, 2023, at Woodlawn Cemetery in Columbia for Gordon A. Sandifer, 87, of Columbia, who died June 7, 2023, at Forrest General Hospital, interment at Woodlawn Cemetery in Columbia, Dr. Gary Robinson officiating.
Sandifer was a U.S. Navy veteran.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ray Sandifer, mother, Hazel Bowman Sandifer, one brother, and two sisters.
He is survived by his wife, Marie Reid Sandifer, son, Todd Sandifer (Joy), two daughters, Kelley Lucy (Brent) and Mechelle Barnes, six grandchildren, Vivian Sandifer, Elena Sandifer, Garrison Lucy, Hannah Marie Lucy, Raeleigh Lucy and Arleigh Sandifer, and one sister, Doris Ervin.
