Tylertown Horseman’s Assn. is hosting two shows the weekend of June 23 and 24. On Friday, June 23, at 7pm a Judged Events Show will be held. Classes will be showmanship, western pleasure, reining and trail. There is also a “lead in” class for the little ones. Members and non-members are invited to compete. Entry fees for members are $5 per class and $7 for non­members. All ages are invited to compete. Age Divisions are 8 and under-horse and pony, 9-12, 13-17, and 18 and over. You must be registered by 6:30 that evening.
Speed events will be held on Saturday, June 24, at 6pm. Barrels, arena race, stakes, poles, and quads will be held. Speed events have the same age divisions as judged events. In the younger classes, you can lead or assist the child if you want to or need to. This does not count against their time. Entry fees are the same as judged events. Members and non-members are welcomed to compete. Riders must be registered by 5 :30pm that evening.
There is a warm up area. Exhibition runs before speed events. Memberships are available for just $50 for individuals and $100 for families. Practice nights on Tuesday and Thursday. End of the year banquet held for members to be presented prizes based on points.
A full concession stand will be available with grilled hamburgers, hotdogs, nachos, and lots more. Bleacher seating is available but it is recommended to bring your chairs. Tents are permitted. There is not a gate fee-free to all to watch! Bathrooms are on site. Facilities located at 79 Hwy 48 West, Tylertown by the huge propane tanks.
