Linda Faye Daniels Templeton, 66, of Meridian, died June 24, 2023, at her home. She was born to Mattie V. Daniels and A. J. Godbolt on Feb. 24, 1957, in Prentiss, where she spent her early years. The family moved to Tylertown, when she entered high school, and she was a proud graduate of the class of 1974. Linda was a licensed practical nurse and retired from the East Mississippi State Hospital in Meridian.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Mattie Virginia Daniels; father, A.J. Godbolt; sister, Flora Lewis, and maternal grandparents; Alonzo and Willie M. Daniels.
Survivors are her husband, Wilbur R. Templeton; seven children, Carlos Daniels, Keila Parker (Ollie), Willie J. Brinson Jr, (Dominique), Tamra Daniels-Washington (Gus), Alia S. Graham (Kenneth), Lucinda Parnell and Anton Fisher (Repnita); three brothers; Will E. Daniels, Kent Daniels (Felisha) and Keith Daniels (Michelle); 10 grandchildren; Kalei, Keion, Xevien, Xendeya, Jermaine, Trinity, Na’Heem, Ravyen, Andrew, Rayanna; mother-in-law; Juanita Johnson.
A memorial service was June 30, 2023, at Washington Funeral Home. The funeral service was July 1, 2023, at The FireHouse Church, located at 3231 Officers Lakes Road, Meridian, pastor Scottie Cole officiating and rendering the eulogy.
Washington Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
