Vella Lanera “Nibby” Robertson, 71, of Walthall County, died June 29, 2023, at her residence. She was born Aug. 25, 1951, in Walthall County to the late Ishman and Mamie Ryans.
She was a lifelong member of Dillon C.O.G.I.C. and was on the usher board, youth department, pastor aide, choir and mother board.
She was a 1969 graduate of J.J. Gulledge High School and later that same year married Less Robertson, who preceded her in death.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one son, Dalphus Robertson; three sisters, Janet, Mildred and Yvonne; four brothers, Dalphus, Alque, Conell and Fedro.
Surivovrs are two daughters, Lawanda (Deon) Hall and Shantina (Earnest) Brister Jr.; two sons, Min. Alex (LaShay) Robertson and Terrell (Jovanna) Robertson; step-son, Keven Brown; 13 grandchildren; three sisters, Lula Lablanc, Linda (Kenneth) Bowers and Vennett (James) Galloway; one brother, Bernell (Frances) Ryans; one aunt, Abrizean Portis.
Funeral services were July 8, 2023, at Dillon Hill COGIC in Tylertown, Dr. Gene Smith officiating with interment in Dillon Hill COGIC Cemetery.
