Everyone invited to meeting to discuss broadband access

The expansion of broadband internet to rural Mississippi is important to improve education, business, economic development and population growth, experts say.
A company seeking to bring high speed internet access to rural residents of Walthall County and southwest Mississippi has scheduled a community broadband discussion session, from 6-8 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 10, at Southwest Community College Regional Workforce Training Center.
Broadband business expert Jonathan Chambers of Conexon will be available at the community forum.
Everyone is invited to attend the discussion session to bring fiber broadband access to this area, a spokesman said. Attending the meeting will show support for high speed internet access for Southwest Mississippi.
