Dixie Youth jambalaya fundraiser and skills day

By Sarah Breeland
Walthall Dixie Youth is doing their first fundraiser of the year selling jambalaya plates. Tickets are $12 each, and plates may be picked up Saturday, March 2, between 11am-1pm at Holmes Water Park. Rodney Tolar is cooking the jambalaya.
We are also hosting a “Skills Day” at Holmes Water Park the same day from 9am – 11am for registered players of WDYB who are invited to learn how to improve their baseball skills. Volunteers are gathering to help teach infield and outfield drills, hitting, throwing, and base running to the players. Come prepared and dressed for baseball! Bring your glove, helmet, and bat.
Jambalaya plates for the WDYB fundraiser will be available for purchase for lunch. We are always looking for volunteers. ALL UPDATES AND EVENTS ARE LISTED ON OUR FACEBOOK PAGE “Walthall Dixie Youth Baseball.”
