Jerry Thomas Schivers, 81, of Tylertown, died May 2, 2024, at the Asbury Hospice House in Hattiesburg. He was born June 29, 1942, in Louisiana.
Graveside services were May 4, 2024, at Pike Memorial Gardens in McComb.
Schivers was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp.
He was a man for many talents like playing the guitar, painting, and being a pilot. Schivers enjoyed watching college sports, cooking, gardening, operating a ham radio, and anything science fiction.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Marsha Meador Schivers; father, J T Schivers; mother, Seba Holmes Ginn; brother, Mike P. Ginn; and sister, Polly Schivers.
Survivors include his son, Jerrell Schivers; daughter, Samantha Schivers; brother, Roger Ginn (Cindy); sisters, Barbara Ginn Wallace (Larry), Linda Ginn Metz (Ricky), Pat Ginn Broussard, and Donna S. Goode.
Pallbearers were Keith Holmes, Chad Dillon, Eric Thomas, and Larry Wallace.
