C.J. Jackson Jr., 78, of Franklinton, died Nov. 17, 2024. He was born Aug. 9, 1946, in Tylertown to the late C.J. and Juanita Jackson.
He attended J.J. Gulledge High School. He worked with the Board of Supervisors for Walthall County until he retired.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Rosia Lee Jackson; two brothers, Hilton Jackson Sr. and Henry Jackson; one bonus son: Bobby Weary.
Survivors are one daughter, Lisa (Stanley) Brock of Tylertown; three sons: Dennis (Mary) Jackson of Kentwood, LA, Carr (Lisa) Jackson of Houston, TX, and Coral (Jasmine) Magee of Tylertown; 10 grandchildren: Myeisha Conerly, Marissa Andrews, Dennis Lee, Darreon Bickham, Kendrick Thompson, Stantrell Brock, Capri Magee, Danielle Jackson, Caprice Magee, and Khadesia Mingo; 14 siblings: Charles Edward (Tammy) Jackson of Franklinton, Eva Lee Francis of New Orleans, Carrie J. Jackson of McComb, Milton C. (Merfalene) Jackson Sr. of Tylertown, C.H. Jackson of Progress, Rosia Mary Jackson of Jackson, Carolyn Daniels of Katy, TX, Nita (Dedrick) Cameron of McComb, Curtis Jackson of Killeen, TX, Minnie (Jessie) Collins of McComb, C.E. Youngblood of Gautier, Mary (Tony) Bell of McComb, Alitha Youngblood of Waterloo, Iowa, and Latta Marie Youngblood of Hattiesburg; one aunt, Elois Davis of Tylertown; a sister-in-law, Eva Jackson; four bonus daughters, Tammy Weary, Mary Sibley, Kathy Causey, Marry Bullock.
Funeral services were Nov. 24, 2024, at Craft-Dillon-Ginn Funeral Chapel with burial in New Bethel Cemetery in Tylertown, pastor Lucius Jackson, Jr. officiating.
