Mary Alice Bell died Dec. 25, 2024, at Forrest General Hospital. She was born Feb. 24, 1960, to the late Victor Barnes and Katherine Holmes of Tylertown.
She cared for her special granddaughter, Darriuna Magee. She also enjoyed working with others as a Certified Nurse Assistant.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandparents, Robert “Bob” Holmes and Gladys Washington.
Survivors are her daughter, Tylia (Gary) Norwood of Gulfport; one sin, Darris Antionio Magee of Franklinton; five grandchildren, Victoria Barnes, Briant Williams, Brianna Williams, Shakevia Lewis, Darriunna Magee and Ethan Magee; four great grandchildren; one brother, Stephane (Sherry) Goudy of Columbia; one niece, Stephanie (CJ) Goudy-Magee of Tylertown.
A public funeral will be held on Jan. 4, 2025, 2 pm, at Washington Funeral Home, interment at Tylertown Cemetery II.
Washington Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
