Joe Knippers, 79, a resident of Central, LA, died Feb. 26, 2025. He was retired from Noble Drilling with 40 plus years of service.
Funeral services were March 4, 2025, at Zoar Baptist Church in Central, LA, Dr. Tim Norris officiating, burial in the church cemetery.
Survivors are his son, Kevin Knippers (Marcy) and daughter, Pamela Moran (David Jr.), sisters, Leisa Powe and Theresa Harrell (Randy) and brother, Major Knippers, grandchildren, Kaylynn Knippers, Aubri Moran, Lane Knippers, Tatum Knippers and Levi Moran.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Knippers, son, Jason Knippers, mother, Hazel Knippers, brother and sister in law, Gene and Aline Knippers, brother, Stanley Barlow and sister Sheila Barnum.
Pallbearers were Andrew Richard, Carl Knippers, Nat McKerley, Lane Knippers, Jamie Wunstel and Cole Foreman. Honorary pallbearer is Joe Lafleur.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Central Community Theatre, 11287 Lovett Rd., Baton Rouge, LA 70818.
Charlet Funeral Home, Inc., in Zachary, LA, was in charge of the arrangements.
