Laura Dolphannette Anderson, 64, of Tylertown, died March 17, 2025, in New Orleans. She was born March 23, 1961, in Tylertown to the late Eddie B. James and Emma Jean Anderson Fraizer.
After attending JJ Gulledge in Tylertown, she enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1981. She was on active duty until she forced into an early retirement due to her health.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Sharrie Porter and Marilyn Anthony; grandparents, David and Daisy Tyner, James and Addie Anderson; her uncle James, Charles and Sonny Anderson; two aunts, Ruth Hawkins and Angela N. Tyner.
Survivors are one sister, Shelita James of New Orleans; one brother, Eddie B. James (Wilda) of Tylertown; one aunt, Barbara Harrie (Lloyd) of Slidell, LA; one uncle, Willie J. Tyner of New Orleans; stepmother, Charlotte James of Tylertown; two special nieces, Dr. Prencess B. Dawson and Katie A. James.
Funeral services were May 31, 2025, at Craft-Dillon-Ginn Memorial Chapel, Eld. Clifford Dawson officiating, interment in St. Paul Cemetery.
