Walthall Republican Women to host meeting, Feb. 12
By Martha Sumrall
Voters of Walthall County are facing two current issues: A Chancery Court Judge for our new judicial district and the probability of School Choice. The Walthall County Republican Women are providing you with an opportunity to meet and discuss these issues with State Rep. Steve Lott from District 107, who is a native of Tylertown and is currently on the committee considering School Choice.
Atty. Renee McBride Porter is a seasoned attorney from Columbia and a candidate for the Chancery Court Judge for Walthall’s new district. She is a Youth Court Referee and a passionate child advocate who brings both heart and grit to the courtroom.
These are two issues that will affect every citizen in Walthall County. Please come and bring your friends and relatives to hear these two speak and to ask any questions that you have concerning these topics.
The meeting is Feb. 12, 2026, at the Southwest Events Center, 29 Hwy 48E, Tylertown. Doors open at 5:30 pm for refreshments with the program starting at 6 pm. The Walthall Republican Women welcome you to this important meeting.
